Welcome back to 2024
We are happy to advise that all aspects of the Representative School Sport Pathway including State Championships can recommence from Term 1, 2024.
Weekly inter-school competitions, knock-out competitions and gala days may also recommence.
The St George Sports Zone is part of the Sydney East Secondary Schools Sports Association.
ST GEORGE (Red and White)
Students that attain a high level of success at the three zone carnivals will go on to represent the St George Zone at the Sydney East Regional Carnivals.
There are many opportunities for students to represent the Sydney East Region and the Combined High Schools teams in various sports throughout the year. Information can be found on the respective sections of the Sport Unit website.
The Zone enters teams for Football (Soccer) in boys and girls in a competition against other Sydney East zones. Trials for these teams are held in Term 1 by the Zone Football conveners:
Students should contact their school sport coordinator for information about trial dates.
For information about sports played in the Zone, please initially make contact with the sports coordinator at your school. Other information can also be obtained through the convener of the sport. Contact details for the conveners of each sport are available on the contacts page of our website.
St George S.S.S.A. provides opportunities for students to participate in a range of sports in friendly interschool competitions. Our competitions are used to promote maximum participation and good sportsmanship. Some of our rules are modified to accommodate this.
*Photos will be taken during the Zone Carnivals. If you do not wish your child's photo to be taken, please indicate this to your School Sports Organiser who will pass this on to the appropriate convener.
